Techni-Care^Ž Surgical Scrub Procedure – Operating Room Environment Techni-Care^Ž is a "Highly Viscous, Gel-like Product" which can be controlled upon application. You will use approximately 1/5 the amount of Techni-Care^Ž versus all solutions with viscosities equal to water, such as Povidone Iodine or Chlorhexidene Gluconate solutions. Techni-Care^Ž will not cause dermal irritation or cellular damage and will not stain linens or equipment. Techni-Care^Ž contains high-grade surfactant blends which efficiently remove organic material and oil which is not present in Povidone Iodine or Chlorhexidene Gluconate formulations making it unnecessary to scrub with a brush. This enhanced cleansing capacity also allows a more complete and rapid kill of micro-organisms by Techni-Care’s active ingredients.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.	Wet hands and forearms. Apply Techni-Care^Ž Surgical Scrub directly from the dispenser bottle, or by foot pump applicator or peelpak, no dilution necessary. Thoroughly scrub hands especially under the fingernails and around the knuckles, cuticles and up to the elbows. Rinse thoroughly with water. Apply surgical gloves in a sterile environment. For extra protection and moisturization apply Care-Creme^Ž transdermal, antimicrobial cream to hands after surgery to protect hands and remoisturize.
Techni-Care^Ž has demonstrated sustantivity on an occluded site for 24 hours. Techni-Care^Ž will provide sustantivity in a sterile surgical environment on a non-occluded site for 6-8 hours, dependant on the contamination level of the environment of use.
